In present-day Paris, young dancer Anastasia joins the prestigious Opéra Garnier. While rehearsing Orpheus, a supposedly cursed opera attributed to the legendary Phantom, she falls in love with a mysterious pianist. As opening night approaches, unexplained accidents and disturbing revelations draw her into an impossible romance, where the boundaries between reality and the supernatural begin to blur.

The Phantom of the Opera (Le Fantôme de l’Opéra) brings Gaston Leroux’s classic novel into contemporary Paris, blending romance, mystery and fantasy against the magnificent backdrop of the Palais Garnier. Directed by Alexandre Castagnetti and starring Deva Cassel, Julien de Saint-Jean and Romain Duris, alongside Paris Opera ballet dancers Dorothée Gilbert and Guillaume Diop, this new adaptation invites audiences behind the curtain into a world of artistic ambition, hidden secrets and forbidden love.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director of the movie, Alexandre Castagnetti.
