The famous tale by Charles Perrault, set to music by Sergei Prokofiev, is transposed into a cinematic setting filled with references to the heroes of American film.
Rudolf Noureev brings his Cinderella into the spotlight of Hollywood. With a producer as her fairy godmother and a leading actor as her Prince Charming, she escapes her miserable fate and sees her dreams come true.
A story that echoes that of the choreographer himself, a young Tatar who became an international star. With this “ballet metaphor,” the Company pays tribute to Rudolf Noureev, who was once its director.
